*Disclaimer* this song is not related to those pesky sea-lovers in the Caribbean, this is in fact a very good little tune. Pirate will remind you of Bombay Bicycle Club and The Maccabees but that’s far from being a bad thing. The indie-rock thing they’ve got going on makes it so easy to like, no, love.

An indie rock band from London but you’d be forgiven for thinking they came from warmer climates. After joining from separate bands, Veronica Falls have released singles in both the UK and USA. Their debut studio album, Veronica Fall, came out in 2011.

The catchy tune and beats as well as those chirpy and almost too cheerful vocals wake up your ears. It may be nothing different or original but in capturing an essence of west coast America My Heart Beats is suitably surfy, so go rub down your surf board and pretend that your backgarden is actually the Pacific.

Hailing from Yorkshire’s very own musical gem, Sheffield, Wet Nuns are nothing religious. They scare me a little if I’m being honest… But if you’re on the lookout for Blues/Rock/Punk with a Yorkshire/American twist get to their Throttle tour today.

Ian Cauldwell (a.k.a Countryboy Delinquent) evidently likes being British, well at least I hope he’s British. Whilst mastering the exact art of a proper cuppa he’s managed to play and mix guitar/ vocals chords together to produce his debut album Alpha Beta Zebra, out this summer.
