Fresh from receiving one of the desirable titles from NME’s poll for top 20 “Bands to Watch in 2012,” Wet Nuns are definitely living up to their achievement, and have been crowd-surfing their way to the top. Their latest success comes in the form of their roaring next single ‘Throttle.’ It has been confirmed it will be released on March 5th 2012.
This explosive single is heavily packed full of huge rifling guitars that will make your stomach churn in delight, along with ugly drumbeats stamped all over the track for good measure. The northern power-death-blues-punk duo, who are renowned for their chaotic live performances, throw all their trademark originalities into the mix, making it one hell of a growling track to listen to. There’s no doubting this track, and it’s one that will shake you out of bed in the morning.
Even Arctic Monkeys’ drummer Matt Helders have given them the bigs thumbs up. After really liking their music so much, Arctic Monkeys’ have gone and recorded a remix version for one of Wet Nun’s free downloadable tracks, ‘Heavens Below.’
The band are currently getting ready to tear stages apart all across the UK as they set sail to embark on their 23 day ‘Throttle Tour.’ Having kick started the tour last Friday (10th February) in Leeds, the havoc continues throughout March and finishes in Belfast early April.
This duo is definitely a band you need to see live to truly appreciate their sound. So don’t hang around, grab yourself a ticket and you won’t be disappointed.
