Justin Bieber says Patrick Carney of The Black Keys “should be slapped around” after the drummer made a comment about the young star at The Grammys on Sunday night (February 10).
The Black Keys took home three Grammy awards for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album, whilst the 18 year old singer wasn’t nominated for an award at all. According to NME Carney stated that Bieber didn’t need a Grammy because “He’s rich, right?” He then went on to say “Grammys are for music, not for money and he’s making a lot of money.”
The comments sparked a reaction from Bieber as he posted on Twitter two days later (February 12) that Carney needs to be “slapped around”. The drummer retweeted the post along with a sad face. The ‘Boyfriend’ singer had previously voiced his dismay with not being nominated for any awards this year, so maybe Carney said the wrong thing at the wrong time.
