Lily Allen has revealed her frustration at the way pop stars speak in the media.

The ‘Smile’ singer, who is on an extended break from music to focus on being a mother to her baby daughter, criticised modern artists on Twitter for the way that they conduct themselves in interviews.

Allen tweeted on the popular social network: “Sorry are motivational speech making skills a pre requisite for all popstars these days, seriously, f**k off. (sic)”

However, the star seems to be a fan of Lana Del Rey, adding: “i must say i’m rather fond of Miss Del Ray’s ‘off to the races’”.

In other Lily Allen news,  Closer magazine has reported that Lily is keen to drop the extra pounds that she gained while pregnant.

A source said: “Lily’s finding it hard. She really hates the gym and doesn’t like being on a diet. She struggles with willpower and ends up feeling guilty if she falls off the wagon.”

Allen gave birth to her daughter, Ethel Mary, in November 2011.
