Kings of Leon’s Jarred Followill has announced that he is now engaged to his model girlfriend Martha Patterson. The visually-exciting bass player posted the news via Twitter yesterday, tweeting: “It’s true! I’m engaged! CANNOT wait to finally lose my virginity.”

The Horrors hope to start work on their fourth album later this year. The band have a UK tour and festivals over the summer, but have revealed that there will be no cushy break afterwards as they plan to step into the studio and start work on their next LP as soon as possible.

Kelly Jones has admitted that the Stereophonics are looking forward to the BT London Live concert in Hyde Park. The Stereophonics are set to appear alongside Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and Paolo Nutini for the gig to mark the beginning of the 2012 London Olympics – and revealed that he plans to be patriotic and wear a Wales football kit at the event.

Mumford & Sons have revealed that their new album won’t feature any major surprises. Keyboardist Ben Lovett spoke to Zane Lowe on Radio One and admitted that the folk band’s second album will be quite similar to their multi-million selling debut album ‘Sigh No More’.

Arctic Monkeys have given an update on their plans for the follow-up to their fourth studio album Suck It and See. Bassist Nick O’ Malley told Spinner magazine “It’s quite early days yet. We’ve not really got any songs for it at all, so it’s difficult to say what the record will be like. But we’re enjoying playing sort of fast songs at the minute, so maybe that’ll be an indication that it may go that way”.
