A rare photograph of The Beatles taken on the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road studios is to be auctioned and is expected to fetch up to £9,000. The snap, which shows The Fabs walking from right to left (opposite to the famous Abbey Road album front cover), has other notable differences from the album cover, such as Paul McCartney wearing sandals instead of being bare footed and without a cigarette in his hand.

Jack Black believes that Tenacious D deserve more plaudits in the media. The Hollywood actor has predicted that his band’s third studio album, entitled Rize of the Fenix, will not be given a proper critical appraisal by the mainstream music press. The ‘School Of Rock’ star also claimed that the rocking duo are better than Foo Fighters and Jack White! Blimey.

Animal Collective have revealed the details for their brand new studio album. The new LP, entitled ‘Centipede Hz,’ is the follow-up to 2009′s critically acclaimed ‘Merriweather Post Pavilion’ album and is set to be released on September 3 in the UK. Watch the (bizarre) trailer for the album here!

Alex Turner has revealed that he once pretended to be in Oasis in a school assembly. The 26-year-old star revealed that he and Arctic Monkeys bandmate Matt Helders both attended their year six leavers assembly dressed as Oasis to entertain their fellow primary school pupils.
