New Order announce comeback tour dates

January 31, 2012

After the news of their reformation as well as the release of a live album late last year, New Order have finally announced UK tour dates for this spring. The band have confirmed four dates of gigs around the UK after releasing two European festival dates last week. The tour will kick off at the band’s hometown in Manchester, and end in Glasgow on May 5.

Unfortunately, founding member and bass player Peter Hook will not take part in the shows. Instead, we will see Tom Chapman replacing Hook with the bass duties and the return of Gillian Gilbert on keyboard after 10 years of leaving the band.

This will mark New Order’s first concert ever since 2006. Full details of the tour dates are as follows:

Manchester O2 Apollo – April 26
Birmingham Ballroom – April 29
Brixton O2 Academy – May 2
Glasgow O2 Academy – May 5

Tickets will go on sale on February 3rd at 9am.
