English electro-rock duo The Big Pink’s latest single, Hit the Ground (Superman), has been buzzing about for a couple of months now, and is yet to win us at EB over with its dangerously whiny vocals, pedestrian guitar line and unobtrusive synths. That’s not to say, however, that they’re doin’ it all wrong.
While ‘Hit the Ground’ may not be the most original tune, these two boys do know how to write a catchy little number and you will definitely be bopping along to this for a few weeks before you‘ve had enough. Believe us, though, this is no ‘Dominos’, and you will get bored. At least this one won’t find it’s way onto any irritating, unavoidable adverts though. So we’re thankful for small mercies.
